The Great Fall Planting Marathon

Oops, it’s been a minute since we’ve updated on here! Here’s the latest update from the farm:

This week the great fall planting marathon and spring clean out continues on the farm. Most of our crispy spring flowers have been shredded down and the frost blanket lying in between the rows has finally been stored away. Now we will turn our attention to prepping the greenhouses for spring 2026 flowers. All of the row cover and other materials must be removed so we can close the sides downs and cook out all of the weed seeds and disease in the soil for the next 6 weeks or so. A grubby, hot job, but very necessary to get ready for ranunculus and other spring flowers!

The selection this week looks much the same as last week with the addition of the first few bunches of cockscomb and a cool new color of tulip ginger available! We will continue to truck along through the summer for another 4-5 weeks before things really pick up again for the fall. Think more dahlias, cosmos, celosias, zinnias, and marigolds!
